A wonderful woman by the name of Libby posted this inside our community:

I was reading in Numbers today about the people moaning about missing their food from Egypt, begging Moses for meat, even though God was providing manna for them daily! I thought this was an interesting comparison for our walk with changed eating habits. God has given us all of this delicious, healthy food, but I can at times be cranky about wanting to eat "what I used to or what everyone else gets to eat", even though eating those old foods make my joints hurt and keep me from sleeping well!!! I need to remember ALL He has provided me with and be grateful for the change He is making in my life.

Wow. Thank you, Libby. You are so right and I can certainly relate.

At different points in my life, I have also grumbled, moaned, and complained about what I was eating versus what everyone else could eat.

In my younger years, when I first started learning about health and nutrition, I would see my slim friends eating foods like pizza, takeout, candy, and chips, and they still stayed slim and trim and appeared (at least to me) to be unaffected and healthy.

Meanwhile, I was cooking healthy lunches to bring to school and learning about the importance of protein and blood sugar control, all the while wondering why I had to take these things into account when my friends couldn’t care less about the food they were eating and seemed fine.

Fast forward to my late thirties and forties, my digestion was a bit out of whack, causing me some real issues. Praise the Lord, I was able to heal the problem, but I can remember so clearly having times when I would see all my "health" friends making the most fun healthy meals that included foods that my digestion just couldn’t tolerate at the time, and I would get so upset that I could not eat those meals as well.

But Libby is right. The Lord has provided for us an abundance of delicious foods, as well as healthy ways to prepare some of our old not-so-healthy favorites.

If you too find yourself moaning and grumbling at times about the things you can’t eat versus all of the delicious food you can enjoy, here are a few things to remember...

Healthy food can be delicious. Long gone are the days of dry chicken breast and steamed broccoli to lose weight. Now, we know for a fact (and the results of thousands and thousands of people show) that you can successfully lose weight by eating delicious omelets, pancakes, chili, meatloaf, parmesan chicken, and roasted potatoes. That’s probably the #1 thing we hear from new members… "I can’t believe I get to eat all this delicious food and still lose weight!"

The Lord has a purpose for this. Let’s never forget that our journey is ours, perfectly designed by the Lord. His purposes are greater than ours and sometimes not understandable to our human minds. I am certain that on this health journey, He is growing you and preparing you to be a blessing to others with your health and your new knowledge.

There is a healthy alternative to almost every food you miss. One of my favorite things to do is to take a typical unhealthy meal and find a way to make it healthy. This is how I came up with recipes like healthy pizza, tacos, chicken cordon bleu, chocolate cake, ice cream, and chocolate chip cookies. I work on recipes until I get the full thumbs up from my husband, kids, and a few other family members and friends and then you know what I do with them? I share them with you!

All of these great recipes are included in our monthly LiveSmart subscription, an extension of the New Life Promise plan.

I received this email from an acquaintance the other day…

“Isabel, my girlfriend is really struggling with some digestive issues. I don’t know many of the details, but would your eating plan be good for her?”

I get questions similar to this one all the time. People will name an ailment or a symptom and ask if the New Life Promise program would be a good fit for them.

I say this with modesty, but the answer is typically YES, not because I have created the best nutrition program out in the world, but because the health principles we teach in this program are the foundational principles of any good health and nutrition program.

You see, even though there are so many nutrition programs available today, all of the ones that are effective for long-term, healthy weight loss all have a few key principles in common.

Notice I said long-term and healthy. Because, sure, anyone can figure out how to lose weight using drastic, extreme measures, but what we have seen time and time again is that those extreme strategies only end up in greater weight gain after the program is complete.

These are the things I find most important to consider when determining whether or not an eating plan would be a good long-term nutrition solution for your weight loss and health goals.

#1 - Who is the teacher?

I would love for everyone in the world to enjoy the way I teach, but that’s just not realistic. My approach has always been one that is soft and gentle and that works for some, but not everyone.

Some people need army drill sergeant style, while others might need a detailed scientist. Some people respond better to females while others respond better to males.

This seems like such a small detail, but I assure you it's not. Many people have shared with me that they began to fall off the wagon on a program because they just didn’t mesh well with the person teaching.

It’s good to consider your values and what you consider the most important things in your life. I can tell you that, for me, it is very important that the teachers I listen to have God in their life. This doesn’t just go for health, but also for business, for homeschooling, and for homemaking.

#2 - The foundation is food, not products.

So many programs today tell you that they “have made it easy for you” because all you have to do is open a package, reheat, and eat… but what are you learning from that? I would argue that you are learning the exact opposite of what you need to learn in order to enjoy long-term weight loss and health success.

Preparing and nourishing our bodies with great food does take some forethought and it does take some time.

Thankfully, there are ways to make this easier on yourself that don’t require pre-packaged food products. You can follow meal plans like the ones found in the New Life Promise program. You can batch cook so you have food readily available in the freezer and in the refrigerator. You can create new routines so healthy eating just becomes second nature to you.

The foundation of any quality health program should be the delicious food the Lord has provided for us from His earth.

This does not mean there aren’t some products that can help us along the way. I personally love to add a quality greens powder, collagen, Omega-3s, and turmeric to most people’s health regimen, but even those things are not absolutely necessary for long-term health success. They can be very helpful, but they are not required.

#3 - Elimination is not the answer.

If a program is promoting heavy restrictions on certain foods or, even worse, entire food groups, it may be worth thinking twice about.

In a world filled with extremes, I see people take elimination diets way too far.

No grains, no fruits, and now there are even some diets that eliminate all vegetables and only have you eat meat all day.

To me, that immediately puts up some red flags. I say it all the time,

“The best eating plan to lose weight is one that you can eat for a lifetime.”

Again, this is why our program along with programs that are rooted in wholesome foods, are truly the ones that prove the longest success rate among those who begin a healthy eating program. Not only does the eating plan feel doable, it feels doable for a lifetime.

As you continue this health road that you are on alongside the Lord, always remember that the basics of healthy eating are quite simple and have truly lasted the test of time.

So the next time someone asks you, “Will your eating plan help me with (insert health issue)”, chances are you can confidently say “Yes, and here is why.”

If you're ready to live a better, healthier life, look no further than the New Life Promise plan!

As much as resolutions get a bad rap, I actually like them.

I love the start of a New Year and find that it's a great opportunity to reflect on the things that really worked over the previous year, as well as the things that didn’t.

A new calendar year feels like a fresh start and a great opportunity for new beginnings.

For some of us, we may be going back to a goal that we had set before but for whatever reason just didn't make it happen. Or maybe we did make it happen, but things started getting a little wonky as the year came to an end.

That was certainly the case for my own resolution…

Consistent Meal Planning

I know what you’re thinking.

Isabel, aren’t you a master meal planner? Isn’t that what you teach us to do?

Haha, yes. I actually am pretty good at meal planning but “life” happens here at the Price house just as it may happen at yours, and meal planning somehow fell to the bottom of my busy to-do list and eventually started to get ignored.

Now, there are some habits that have become such a way of life for us that no one here was ordering take-out or eating unhealthy food items. The biggest positive habit being that we always have leftovers of something in the fridge and the freezer that can be quickly reheated in a moment’s notice. But what I was finding was that every night was becoming a last-minute “so what are we making here?” which induces its own special kind of dinnertime stress.

I found the other factor is that my kids are older now (12 and 14) and very good in the kitchen, so on many nights they were happy to just make some pancakes or a panini and let my husband and I forage the fridge. That’s all fine and well and actually a great back-up plan, but I was finding this was happening way more frequently than I was happy with.

So here are the 2 very simple things I did to get our meal planning off to a great start in 2024. “Simple” being the important word here because I find that when I overcomplicate any area of my life, the habit or strategy never sticks.

First, I made a list of 15 of the most common and frequent meals we love to make. On this list were meals like taco night, burgers and fries, whole chicken in the air fryer, turkey burgers on the grill, chicken parmesan. As we started rattling off our favorite meals, we were at 15 in no time and we probably could have kept going.

Of course, this goes without saying, but every single one of these meals is my healthy version. Where a typical chicken parmesan is loaded with wheat and conventional dairy, mine is made with gluten-free breadcrumbs and organic parmesan cheese.

This really can be the case with almost every single meal.

I can look at any recipe or any meal and ask myself, “How can I make this into a healthy version?”

That’s exactly what you’ll find inside the LiveSmart meal plans. I’ve taken meals like pizza, mac and cheese, chicken cordon bleu, and even nachos and have created healthy versions.

In many cases, members have told us that their families enjoyed these healthier versions much better than the original version.

And yes, having your whole family enjoying a healthy meal together certainly makes sticking to your goals that much easier.

LiveSmart meal plans and recipes -> Click HERE to see what’s included.

Onto the second thing we did to stick to our meal planning goal.

We committed to going through our LiveSmart volumes (there are now over 50 volumes!) and choosing one new meal to make every 2 weeks.

Of course, we have already tried pretty much every single one. But many of them, like the ones in earlier volumes, we haven’t made in years, for no other reason than we just forgot about them.

So once every 2 weeks, we are going to look through them together and choose which one we want to make again and then see if it will make it into our rotation of meals.

I chose every 2 weeks instead of every week because that is a more realistic timeframe for us and I wanted to set us up for success.

Creating the LiveSmart monthly program has not just given me a way to help our members succeed in achieving their weight loss goals long-term, it has also been a blessing to my own family, in that it has helped us to keep our healthy eating fun, interesting, and (most importantly) delicious.

Could it be exactly what you need to make healthy eating super easy for you this year?

Eating healthy doesn't mean living in a cave... hahaha. Nor does it mean avoiding eating out in order to reach your health goals.

Going to a restaurant is, many times, not even so much about the food, but more about the social interaction, a celebration, or maybe just a night to not have to do the dishes.

It can also sometimes be out of necessity, like you ended up being out much later than expected and dinner time was quickly approaching.

This story is from over a year ago, but similar situations happen to us all the time. We had dropped off our boys at my in-laws' house so we could have a date night. Our plan was to go to the gym together (which is actually a treat since we usually bring the boys with us) and then cook dinner together at home. We live in a very remote area and don't have many restaurants nearby, so we more often choose to eat at home than go out.

Well, towards the end of our workout, my husband's phone rang – it was the mechanic telling us our car was fixed and ready for pickup. He told my husband that, even though they close at 5pm, he would stay open until we got there. It was exactly 5pm and the mechanic was 45 minutes away (insert a very sad and hungry Isabel).

Of course, my husband wanted to get the car and said, "Isabel, we'll just find something out to eat somewhere around there."

What? Just find something to eat? Isabel does not simply "find something to eat" LOL! But I knew picking up the car was important, so I decided to roll with it.

By the time we got the car and went over some details with the mechanic, it was after 6pm and my inner alarms were about to start sounding the hangry sirens (hangry = hungry + angry). I quickly found us a little casual cafe that was only open until 7pm and we raced over there.

Here's exactly what I ordered from the menu:

(In case you can't read that, it's the Chicken Salad – grilled or fried chicken on a bed of salad greens with tomato, cucumber, carrots, sliced almonds, Swiss and cheddar cheese, and a fresh baked croissant.)

Nine times out of ten, there will be a grilled chicken salad on any menu. I truly can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and there wasn't one. Now, I don't want to live a life of grilled chicken salads forever, but I know that can be my backup plan no matter what.

I ordered the grilled chicken salad, asked our server to hold the cheese (too much non-organic dairy tends to make my skin break out), and to bring the dressing on the side.

When my salad arrived, there was a mountain of croutons on the top, which I pushed off to the side, and a huge croissant that I totally forgot to tell her I didn't want.

This little innocent croissant reminded me of a simple truth that I have talked about before when it comes to eating out...

Often times, it's not that there are no healthy choices on the menu, it's that there are far too many unhealthy temptations.

I thought about all my wonderful members and how difficult a situation like this could be for someone who was just starting out on their healthy eating plan.

The amount of strength it takes to say "no" in moments like these can be overwhelming, which is why we must ask the Lord to step in in situations like this one.

So the challenge truly is not finding something on the menu that would easily fit into your healthy eating plan, the true challenge is saying "no" to every item – on the menu, on the table, or even on your plate – that may derail you from your healthy eating plan.

No situation will ever be perfect, but you can arm yourself with the right tools to make any dining-out experience much easier on yourself.

First, if you're able to and you know where you will be going ahead of time, look up the menu online. Take a quick look at your options and think through what healthy choices you have to work with ahead of time. You may even want to post a picture of the menu and some questions inside our New Life Promise Family Facebook group so we can help you make the best choices. Remember, we're all in this together, and we created our family page so no one ever feels like they're navigating this healthy lifestyle alone.

Second, if you can, you may want to take your healthy salad dressing with you. I've done this so many times, and I can't tell you how thrilled my friends are when I pull Isabel's Famous Salad Dressing out of my purse... LOL. If that's not an option, I will often just ask for olive oil and lemon wedges and use that as my dressing.

Third, ask for your greatest temptations to not be brought out at all. If you're someone who struggles with bread, I know my above situation (where the croissant came right on my plate) would have been difficult. In that moment, I could have put the croissant on a small plate and asked the server to please just take it. Don't ever be shy or embarrassed about any "special requests" you may have. Trust me. They have seen it all, and if it helps you stay on your healthy eating plan, just ask nicely and they will be happy to help.

My prayer for you is that this way of eating can truly be something you will enjoy as a continued lifestyle. With all the wonderful recipes we provide for you inside New Life Promise and LiveSmart, there is never any reason to not enjoy delicious food. And when it's time to eat out, you will have all the tools, knowledge, and the help of the Father to help you get through even the hardest situations.

I often watch my kids play outside in the yard from the kitchen window. They're old enough now they can be trusted out there on their own (for the most part).

But, as any mom of boys knows, more often than not, someone is probably going to come in with a bump or bruise.

On this particular afternoon, I saw my younger son limping back to the house and I knew something was wrong. As he got closer I could see the sad look on his face. He continued to make his way closer and then he stopped, bowed his head, prayed and then started his limping back to the house.

When I met him on the back porch, he was crying, and I could see his knee and ankle were bleeding. He said, "Mommy, I fell. Can you clean me up? Oh, and I already prayed, so I took care of that part."

LOL! He already knew the absolute first step in his healing was going to be prayer. It was a proud mommy moment for sure, and I was happy to see my youngest carrying out our principle of "always go to the Lord first in everything."

I was watching a video series this week called "Bible Health Secrets." It was incredible to see how many health principles we need are already given to us in the Old and the New Testament, even details on specific foods.

But the first video in the whole series (9 videos long) was entirely dedicated to how prayer can directly impact our health and whether patients heal or not. It was amazing to see so many doctors, many of them with no religious affiliation, say that those patients who had a strong faith life and prayed during their severe illnesses (including cancer) were the ones that more often, experienced healing.

Wow! So incredible to hear, but I'm not shocked at all. I can name so many times in my own life when I knew it was God's hand that stepped in and helped me during my most difficult times, including my health.

And He clearly tells us He will in His word...

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." – Mark 11:24

And Jesus also said,

"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." – John 14:13-14

The doctors in the video went on to say that people with faith tend to have a more positive attitude and were less focused on their worries and fears. Worry and fear triggers a chemical change in your brain which then creates negative chemical reactions in the rest of your body and yes, then, negatively affecting your healing process.

I don't know about you, but I've done my fair share of worrying and being fearful and it never changes the situation for the better. Actually, it just makes everything worse.

If you're currently working on making big changes to your health, like you've been told you have diabetes, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, hormone imbalances... whatever the current diagnosis was, I'm going to show you how you can begin your healing process today with prayer.

Or, if your health changes don't include any specific health condition but you know you would feel so much better if you lost the excess weight, that too can be a big undertaking and I encourage you to use prayer as well.

Prayer does not need a specific structure, but here is a simple guide you can use if you're not sure how to go to the Lord in prayer.

First, thank God for all He has already provided so abundantly in your life. I know some days it may be hard to see where God is providing, but I promise you He is. If you're reading this newsletter on a computer or phone, God has provided.

Thank Him for the health information you already know, for your family's health or for the wonderful doctors or health professionals you have in your life. And thank Him for the little things as well... water, enough food each day, and the comfy bed where you lay your head at night.

Next, spend some time in confession and asking for forgiveness in any area of your life you know may not be quite right. Have you acted in a way you're not happy about? Have you maybe told some lies or were involved in something that is not honest? Whatever it is, you can bring it all to Him and He will help you make your wrongs right. (Trust me, I know this first hand!)

Now, bring your requests to Him. Please remember that God is not a genie in a bottle, there to grant our every wish, but He does hear every single one of our prayers and will always provide and give us exactly what we need when we go to Him in faith.

To help get you started, here is a very simple prayer you can start with today. I promise you will already feel a greater sense of peace after you say these words and spend this time telling Him what you need in your health journey right now.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for who you are and how you have already provided so abundantly in my life. Please help me to see those blessings from You each and every day and be a good steward of those blessings. I know You don't expect me to be perfect and You love me for who I am, but here are the areas of my life that I need to change. I ask for your forgiveness of these sins and I also ask for your strength to help me change. My strength and my will just don't feel like enough on most days, so I ask for Your mighty strength to be there when I feel weak. Today I am asking for your help with my health. I have these particular things going on (name them here) and I know I can conquer these things with Your power. I pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

Wow, I don't know about you, but I already feel better!

I urge you to make consistent prayer an integral part of your health journey. If there is something you have been struggling with for quite some time, this could be the missing piece of the puzzle for you. Invite God into your healing journey and He will amaze you with what He can do. He continues to amaze me every single day.

The two most common questions we get when people first start the New Life Promise plan are...

  1. How do I adjust the meals if I don't like or can't eat a food?
  2. What do I eat if I'm out at a restaurant?

This video will answer those questions, teaching you how to make substitutions on the meal plans and how to enjoy eating at a restaurant.

Making Substitutions on the New Life Promise Meal Plans

If you're wondering how do I adjust the meals in the New Life Promise meal plans? I want to first encourage you to try all the meals, even if the foods are things you don't typically eat. You might be pleasantly surprised by the recipes included in these meal plans!

But, if you see a food you cannot eat for some reason - maybe you have a food allergy or intolerance, or you just truly cannot stomach it - here's what you can do:

  • If the food you can't eat is a vegetable, swap it for a similar vegetable. Staying within the same color range is a good guideline to follow - this will ensure you're getting a good variety of different vitamins from your vegetable choices.
  • If the food you can't eat is a fruit, swap it for another fruit. During the first three weeks of the New Life Promise meal plans, stick to green apples and berries as your fruit choices. You can introduce more fruits in Week 4 and beyond.
  • If the food you can't eat is a protein, replace it with another protein. So, if you're not a fan of salmon, you can have chicken instead. Or if you can't find ground chicken, ground turkey would work in its place.

Another option is to swap entire meals. Just make sure you're exchanging a breakfast for a breakfast, a lunch for a lunch, a snack for a snack, or a dinner for a dinner. And while you're following the New Life Promise meal plans, choose ones from the same week you're currently following.

If you have questions about specific substitutions, feel free to ask them in the New Life Promise Facebook group. Not a member yet? All New Life Promise members are welcome! Once you've purchased the program, you can join HERE.

Eating Out While on the New Life Promise Plan

Many people ask, what's the best way to choose something good off the menu? Here's what I do every time I go to a restaurant...

  1. Start with the protein. I revolve my entire meal around the protein, so the first thing I do is look for a piece of chicken or fish, a turkey burger (no bun), a steak or beef burger (no bun). Don't be afraid to ask your server questions to ensure the protein is not fried, breaded, or served in a heavy sauce or cream sauce.
  2. Pick a vegetable. That could be a small salad or a side dish (broccoli, spinach, asparagus, etc.). Again, ask the server to make sure the vegetable isn't fried or smothered in sauce or cheese. If it's not, great! If it is, you can always ask if you can have it plain, and most restaurants will be more than happy to accommodate that request.
  3. Choose a carbohydrate. Good choices here include sweet potato, white potato, butternut squash, rice, or quinoa. Again, pay attention to how these are prepared and skip the ones that are served in a heavy cream sauce or with cheese. Also, be mindful about the portion size - restaurants will usually give you a very big serving, but do your best to stick to about ½ cup of your carbohydrate choice. If you can't find a good, healthy carb, double up on the vegetable instead!

Here's what you don't want to eat...

  • The bread basket. I usually ask the server not to bring the bread basket to our table at all. Once you're in maintenance mode, you may choose to enjoy a piece of fresh bread when you go out to eat, but I know I am affected by bread and gluten, so it's not worth it to me to even have it on the table.

Our goal at New Life Promise is to help you turn this way of eating into a healthy lifestyle for yourself. We don't want you to stress about food. We want you to learn about food and figure out what makes your body feel best. We are here to support you and answer your questions along the way.

The meal plans found in New Life Promise are not vegetarian or vegan. We include all wholesome, natural foods, and that does include some naturally raised beef, poultry, fish, and eggs. But that doesn't mean you can't follow this program if you don't eat meat! This post provides some guidance for how you can make the meal plans work for you while following a plant-based diet.

Plant-Based Protein Sources

The graphic above includes some of the best plant-based protein sources you can use in place of the animal protein found in the New Life Promise meal plans. Here are some additional foods that are high in protein and can be an excellent addition to your meal plans:

  • Quinoa - This gluten-free grain is one of the few plant-based foods that contains all nine essential amino acids.
  • Green Peas, Brussels Sprouts, Asparagus, Broccoli - These vegetables contain more protein than most.
  • Spinach - While this leafy green isn't packed with protein, it does contain all the essential amino acids.
  • Avocado - This fruit is a decent source of protein and an excellent healthy fat.

Vegetarian Recipes

We make it easy to adjust the New Life Promise meal plans for a plant-based lifestyle with a number of vegetarian recipes. You can find these in the Units section of the New Life Promise Family group once you become a New Life Promise member. Here's a sneak peek to give you an idea of the delicious plant-based recipes you'll find there.

Chickpea and Avocado Salad
Ingredients
1 (15.5 oz) can chickpeas
1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
1 cucumber, sliced and quartered
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp black pepper
2 avocados, chopped
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 lemon or lime

Directions
Rinse chickpeas and place in a large bowl. Cut grape tomatoes and cucumbers and add to bowl with chickpeas. Add olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. Mix veggies so that everything is covered evenly. Cover and let sit in refrigerator for thirty minutes. Add avocado and cilantro to your liking and top with lemon or lime juice.

*You can also add black beans and/or onions to this salad to make it even more colorful and flavorful.

Here is what a few members had to say about our program...

"I love the food!! I have an excitement to see how good each meal tastes!! I told myself not to get on the scale til next Monday. But I cheated. I just wanted to see if I was losing. I started December 2 and today December 4 the scale was down 4 lbs. This is exciting for me because I love the food and the fact that I have a menu made for me every day! This is what I need is someone to plan the meals, give me the recipes to be successful." - Ranee

"If you're just starting and wondering if your family will eat this food. I started thinking I was going to have to make myself separate meals having four kids and a husband that hates healthy food. After just day two my family said no more cooking separate meals, they want my food. My husband just came home for lunch and said 'I can already feel a huge difference in how I feel.' My husband has never had a weight issue and can eat whatever he wants. He is all for completely changing out all food in our house now. On top of that my grocery bill has gone way down. It is not taking as much food to get my family full. I just can't believe that my husband wants the same foods I am eating to lose weight!" - Sarah L.

"I am on day 14 and down 9 lbs. More importantly my clothes fit much better and I love this new way of cooking. Never been on a meal plan that included such tasty meals. Even hubby has enjoyed a few of the meals. I used to drink 4 or 5 diet sodas a day. Not anymore! Thanks for appearing on my Facebook page a couple weeks ago. To God be the glory!" - Susan R.

"When I was on the Optavia diet, I ate protein and vegetables and very little seasoning. It was the most boring food an unsatisfying. But, with this new way of eating, I cannot believe that I actually love vegetables. And, I'm able to make the most simplest and cheapest food that taste like gourmet food. How did you figure out how to use these very few ingredients and make it taste so good. I actually look forward to trying the next recipe!!!!! Praise God!!! Thank you so much Isabel for allowing God to transform you into this beautiful gift for all of us! Thank you for going through the hard times like Paul did in chains, so the rest of the body could prosper." - Premia A.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am a vegetarian?

Vegetarians can replace any meats they do not eat with vegetarian options like chickpeas and beans. We do not recommend soy or any soy-based products. We have many vegetarians who have loved our program for the faith portion and for the community support but have had to make modifications to the meal plans. This post provides some guidance for how you can make the meal plans work for you while following a plant-based diet: New Life Promise for Vegetarians.

I am a diabetic. Can I safely follow this plan?

Most certainly yes! We have so many members who have been able to control their blood sugar naturally and greatly reduce their need for diabetic medications using our program (with their doctor's approval, of course).

I have food allergies. Are there substitutions given for food I cannot eat?

Yes, you can replace any particular food you cannot eat with another good option from that same category (protein, carb, fat, vegetable, or fruit). We give you guidelines and help you make those adjustments.

We would love to have you inside our New Life Promise family!
